Summary
The Complete Tutorial Experience
This tutorial's purpose is to showcase the capabilities of the project creator. This will help you see majority of the features designed to help creators share their painting techniques and for people following the tutorial to get documented steps down to the last detail.
Comprehensive Paint Management
In the creator dashboard, the author has access to more than 3,500 paint colors from leading miniature painting brands including Citadel, Vallejo, Army Painter, Scale75, and more. Each project has a project palette. This corresponds to all the paints utilized in the tutorial so people know exactly what they need.
Advanced Color Mixing Tools
The creators have access to a unique paint mixing tool. They can mix and match multiple paints in the dashboard to create the perfect shade and share exact color formulas with the community. Each mixture displays a real-time preview of the resulting color! A future feature is in the works to allow finding equivalent colors from other brands.
Equipment Documentation
Track every tool, brush, and supply used in your project. From specific brush sizes to specialty tools, the equipment list ensures followers can replicate your techniques with the right materials. The system suggests common alternatives for hard-to-find items.
Step Management
Users can create sequential tutorial steps, each with a title, detailed instructions, equipment, paint, and associated media. On mobile devices, you will be able to see a header with a chevron with the current step to expand and see the paints and equipment utilized. On desktop, it will always be visible on the left side.
Rich Media Integration
Upload multiple images and videos for each tutorial step. The gallery view allows for before/after comparisons, work-in-progress shots, and detailed close-ups of techniques. Video support enables creators to capture painting techniques that they utilize.
Community Project Search
Categorize tutorials by skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Display), painting style, miniature type, and custom tags. The smart search system helps users find exactly what they're looking for, whether it's "space marines" or "orc barbarians."
Community Features
There is a voting system, comments section, and ability to share the project. The next features I am working on include following profiles and having a curated list of projects you can see.

Paint Mixing
The Paint Mixing system is a color management tool that enables creators to create and track custom paint mixtures with precise formulations. This feature allows people to accurately reproduce colors and creators to document them easily.
Core Functionality
Custom Mixture Creation: Creators can combine multiple paints from their collection to create new colors, specifying exact percentages for each component. The system supports complex multi-paint mixtures, allowing for intricate mixes that go beyond just two colors.
Real-Time Color Visualization: The feature includes a color blending algorithm that calculate and displays the resulting hex color value based on the input paints and their percentages. Users see both the individual component colors and the final mixed result!
Precise Recipe Tracking: Each mixture maintains a detailed recipe showing:
Component paint names and brands
Exact percentage breakdowns (totaling 100%)
Visual color swatches for each component
Final mixed color preview with hex value
Custom naming for easy identification

Creators can attach multiple images and videos per step. Each step supports up to 3 images and 1 video, giving them the flexibility to show different angles, close-ups, or detailed demonstrations of their technique.
Images: Up to 5 MB each — perfect for high-quality photos of miniatures, tools, or step-by-step progress shots.
Videos: Up to 30 MB — ideal for quick clips showing techniques, walkthroughs, or in-depth explanations.
